Scots Tory MEP visits McCain Potatoes
Scottish Conservative MEP, Struan Stevenson will visit McCain Potatoes, Britain’s favourite chip manufacturer, this morning (Friday 20th November 2009).
Mr Stevenson will be joined by Conservative Party Westminster parliamentary candidate, Alberto Costa, for his visit to the company’s seed potato storage and grading facility to see how the McCain Oven Chip starts its life. They will also receive a presentation from General Manager, Colin Herron explaining more about the business.
Mr Stevenson will also get the opportunity to meet with some of the 10-strong workforce.
Speaking ahead of his visit, Struan Stevenson said:
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to meet with Mr Bartlett and Mr Herron and to hear more about McCain Potatoes and also McCain Foods.
“McCain has an outstanding reputation in Scotland, Britain and across the world so I’m delighted to have the opportunity to visit where the process starts.”
