Scots Tory MEP visits Linn Products

Scottish Conservative MEP, Struan Stevenson visited Linn Products Ltd, Scotland’s leading consumer electronics company last Friday (13th March 2009).

Mr Stevenson visited the firm’s purpose-built headquarters in Waterfoot to meet its Executive Chairman, Ivor Tiefenbrun MBE for a tour of Linn’s manufacturing facilities and to meet some of its highly skilled staff.

Following his visit, Struan Stevenson said:

“I spent a fascinating three hours being shown around Linn’s purpose-built headquarters which occupies a 20 acre site at Waterfoot. During the tour, my host, Executive Chairman Ivor Tiefenbrun MBE, explained how Linn makes some of the world’s leading music and movies sound systems, using cutting edge technology, combined with a unique ‘team-approach’ where skilled operators sign off on a project only when they are satisfied that it meets Linn’s exacting standards.

“This is precision-engineering taken to its most demanding limits, where exceptional sound quality and performance are guaranteed and where every item that passes through Linn’s doors can promise unrivalled excellence and real value.

“I was particularly impressed to hear some of Linn’s new DS digital stream players in action. The quality of sound was startling, with every tiny aspect of the music clearly expressed. It was like sitting in the front seats at an orchestral performance.

“It is fantastic for Scotland and the UK that we can boast a world beating company like Linn. The 150 skilled employees export Linn’s individually hand-finished products to over 40 countries worldwide, through a select network of approved specialists. No wonder Linn has won countless awards and in 2002 was granted Royal Warrant status as suppliers of entertainment systems to the Royal Household.”
