MEP questions Commission on excise duty affecting Scotch whisky sales
Struan Stevenson MEP has written to Algirdas Semanta, EU commissioner responsible for taxation and customs union, audit and anti-fraud, regarding the disproportionate level of excise duty placed on spirits in the EU, which is adversely impacting the Scottish whisky industry.
