A Free Trade Agreement (FTA), steered through the European Parliament by Conservative MEPs, has been successfully passed and will bring untold benefits to industries across the EU economy and to consumers.
The deal is great news for Scotland as Scotch Whisky is now poised to take over a huge market share in South Korea. The agreement means that the 20% import tariff on Scotch Whisky and other EU spirits will be removed. This move generates massive potential for economic growth and will create hundreds of new jobs as well as boosting Scotch Whisky exports from Scotland.
