In support of the Scotsman!

The Scotsman is as much part of my breakfast ritual as having a cup of coffee. It is a cornerstone of Scottish life and, when I am away in Brussels or Strasbourg, I can read the main stories on-line to keep in touch with what is happening back in my constituency.

It has also supported many of my campaigns over the years, from my days as an Ayrshire councillor in the 1970s to the work I have done since being elected to the European Parliament in 1999. From the local issues to the international, such as supporting the campaign to ban the import of cat and dog fur into Europe, the Scotsman has provided welcome support for the work I have done.

I may not always agree with what I read in the Scotsman – but I can never ignore it!
