- Undertaking constituency case work.
- Researching and preparing input for media articles.
- Arranging meetings in Scotland, visits to Brussels/Strasbourg.
- Discussing and advising on possible areas of interest.
IN EUROPE
The European Parliament office is responsible for assisting on EU legislative work, representing Struan in meetings he is unable to attend, conducting EU-related research, meetings, hearings and visitors groups coming to Brussels and Strasbourg.

- Undertaking EU-related constituency case work
- Investigating environmentally induced conflict in Central Asia as part of Struan's work as Personal Representative of the current OSCE Chairman-in-Office
- Animal welfare topics
- Research into topical issues
