Letter to Aberdeenshire Council Planning Manager

In response to a letter received from Aberdeenshire Council stating the reason why an application for a 76m tall wind turbine was not subjected to a community consultation was because it was not classed as a 'major' development, Struan has written back to the council requesting further details as to its planning process, especially around what counts as a 'major' development.

Letter to Scottish Environment Minister Paul Wheelhouse MSP

Struan has sent a letter to Scottish Environment Minister Paul Wheelhouse asking why property values are currently not a material consideration in the planning process, particularly with regards to wind farm applications.

A similar letter was also sent to Scottish Local Government Minister Derek Mackay MSP, Aberdeenshire Council and North Ayrshire Council.
